Who we are
For as long as I've known there has been a writer living in me, revelling in the comfort of imagination, looking for inspiration, seeing stories and poetry in the everyday. Then, one warm, sunny November day at the beach in Cornwall, whilst laughing at Oakley dodging the tide puddles, I made the throwaway comment, “There's a story in that”. It landed on the ears of my sister and there was no turning back. Oakley had to be shared with the world.
Two years previously a period of deep personal pain had begun. Several months later a small, furry, Shih Tzu shaped blessing zoomied into my life, landing in my lap. He needed a new home and I needed a new feeling of home in my heart. Together we got fresh names and starts. I was now sharing life with inspiration ‘perdoggified’.
Though we are private both in nature and from necessity, and you will very rarely find one of us without the other, Oakley's stories are too pure a gold not to be told.
